Support renewables? Have your say in the People’s RET Review

Are you concerned about climate change? Do you want to see Australia transition from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy sources? Well, it’s time to make your position known in the People’s Renewable Energy Target (RET) Review.

Andy Bray from 100% Renewables, the group spearheading the vote, says:

It’s working! Pollution in Australia is actually dropping and we’ve switched off 3,000 MW of dirty, coal-fired generation as  a result of the combined impact of the Renewable Energy Target (RET) and the price on carbon pollution.  But some big power companies and industry lobby groups want to slow the development of renewables in Australia. Their money and lobbying power gives them a voice, but what about ordinary citizens? 100% Renewables, the ACF and our allies are running the People’s Renewable Energy Target (RET) Review. This week Australians can tell decision makers what kind of energy future we want.

Have your say in the People’s RET Review.

  1. I have put my submission in. No doubt the shape of the renewable energy future will change from what it is today. Wind turbines may be replaced by something better both in terms of aesthetics and efficiency, concentrated solar may become more commonplace, tidal and wave generation may become the norm, and geothermal may rise to the fore. It will only happen if we keep on all governments’ backs with continuous campaigns such as this. Science only knows we are running out of time. Cheers
