Hallett Wind Farm (SA)

The following comes from Wikipedia. Hallett Wind Farm is the name given to four wind farms near the town of Hallett, South Australia. It is being built by AGL.
It is composed of:

* Hallett 1 (Brown Hill): completed
* Hallett 2 (Hallett Hill): completed
* Hallett 3 (Mount Bryan): approved
* Hallett 4 (North Brown Hill): under construction
* Hallett 5 (Bluff Range): 2010

This page was set up for discussion about this project. There is also substantial discussion in the posts at the end of this article:  the anti-wind campaign is driven by ideology

  1. If you put stages 1, 2 and 4 together, then Hallett is the largest wind farm in Australia; although Macarthur in Victoria will be bigger when finished. Two of the 25 turbines of Bluff Range have been built; completion is due before the end of the year. Mt Bryan is under apeal in one of the courts.

  2. I see these turbines every day, they would be so much so much nicer to look at with Solar Panels. The Towers are are huge, lots of space for panels, and all wiring to the grid is already done
